These Glass Filled Lexan snow guards/stops etc. are simply clamped to the standing seam by two 5/16″ stainless steel set screws. The reason for Stainless Screws is that Aluminum is not strong enough and over time galvanized tends to rust through the plating over time.
We have these in BLACK and come with the Stainless Screws installed and made in America by VermontersThis Snow Guard are the new product on the market, they are made out of polycarbonate which had been used for safety glasses, sun glasses and eye lenses and are 10 time more impact resistant compared to plastic and glass. These are extremely durable and the best part about it is that they are less expensive than the traditional cast aluminum snow guards and stronger.
The color is through and through and will last much longer than any spray paints that would be applied on the cast aluminum. We only have black, but are working to get more colors.
We have completed drop tests from 30 feet in the air onto gravel and not only did they not break, it was hard to tell where they hit because it did not hardly scratch the surface.
